This Samarit lateral transfer board with it's integral nylon cloth enables the care givers to gently and easily transfer a patient between two surfaces. Its strong design means it will easily bridge a gap of 150mm. The Nylon cloth is strong, robust, tear-resistant, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and flame retardant. If frequent use is required, disposable covers and a dispenser are available to complete the range.

More info

This smaller rollbord was designed initially for urology and gynaey surgery, plus Recovery and Emergency departments. Suitable for bed - trolley/table or vice versa. For transfers between two narrow surfaces e.g. table - trolley, trolley - table, use Surgibord and/or MRI/CT Rollbord.

However, we also find it excellent when asking people to transfer themselves eg day surgery, radiology and imaging, anywhere where the perosn has use of legs and upper body strength but just need something to help them slide over and navigate the gap. At 90cm long, this rollbord is perfect - please watch the video.

Measuring only 50cm wide and 91cm long, it weighs a mere 1.4kg and bridges gaps up to 20cm - wider then any traditional transfer board on the market. (you will need level surfaces)

How does it work? Acting like a tank track, the board moves across the gap between two surfaces very easily. Your staff will find it very easy to use and patients will love it too.

With a 3 year warranty it is extremely hard-wearing, and it is suitable for excessive use. The nylon cloth that rolls around the central core is strong, robust and tear-resistant as well as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, flame retardant and disposable. Disposable covers are also available.

Other features:

  • Radioluscent
  • Latex free
  • Easy to clean
