About SIBA Satin systems
Our SIBA satin bed systems consist of a choice of SIBA Satin Base sheets and SIBA Satin Top sheets all of which are available in a large variety of combinations to fit profiling single beds, divans, double and king sized beds and Super King beds by request.
Base Sheets can be used on their own for people who just need help with more comfortable lying and easier access in and out of bed but by combining top sheets with base sheets people who need more assisted positioning care in bed can be catered for in comfort and with ease, including people with:

The 2 Way
Base Sheet
All SIBA Satin base sheets allow safe and easy repositioning for people in bed, enabling them to turn easily from side to side but not slip down. Extra safety is provided by the striped cotton edges on all of our base sheets. They can be used on their own or combined with one of our renowned SIBA Satin top sheets for those who need more in bed repositioning care.
Available in five widths, each of our base sheets have a satin panel central (or
for wider matteresses, offset) to the mattress. These are either full length or midi
mattress length, dependant upon your patient’s needs. The striped polycotton
panels on each side of the satin panels are designed to prevent patients sliding
off the bed whilst only the satin panel allows for movement.

Options
All SIBA satin base sheets are designed to fit the mattress of the bed – be it a hospital size bed at 90cm, a single divan bed at 105cm, a bariatric bed 120cm or a double or king sized bed. Super king versions are made to order.
Whichever size of bed, you can choose the length of the satin panel required for your client and what fitting you require for the mattress base:

Fitted Base Sheets
with a full or midi length satin panel, striped cotton edges and a drawstring skirt all the way around with vents on the bottom two corners for dynamic mattresses air hoses. Drawstring tightening easily accessible on either long edge for excellent fit.

This base sheet design offers a full or midi length satin panel, striped cotton edges and four strong elastic ( latex free) straps on each corner to attach to the mattress base and keep the base sheet in place.

The 4 Way Top Sheet
These 4Direction Top Sheets are for dependent users who need assistance moving in bed, often by a single carer. They are designed to be used on top of the Base Sheet and do not work on their own.
Made from a special polycotton with a satin panel stitched underneath it is the combination of this satin panel working with the satin panel of a base sheet that allows for all repositioning around the bed.
There are four main models, each wide enough to allow for turning from side to side by carers and either full or torso length dependant upon clinical need. All are available with or without handles so they can be attached to a mobile hoist, a gantry hoist or overhead tracking to facilitate repositioning , especially for single carers.
Available in two lengths and a variety of widths the design of our SIBA Satin Top Sheets are the same; they all comprise of one piece of a specially woven duck egg blue and white checked polycotton with a satin panel stitched underneath. For the Satin Top Sheet to work and allow for all repositioning around the bed – up and down, turning and sitting – it must be used on top of a Satin Base Sheet as It is the combination of the satin panel of the top sheet working with the satin panel of a base sheet that allows for multi- directional patient positioning. The duck egg blue and white checks denote movement all around the bed in four directions.
4 Way Top Sheet (Upper Side)
This diagram shows the Top Sheet as the person would lie on it. The top layer is all polycotton for comfortable lying. The central part that the person lies on has the satin layer stitched under the polycotton enabling all round bed movement.

All SIBA Satin in-bed top sheets are designed for the patient to lie on directly and to remain on – unless soiled. There are four mains models , each being 200cm wide – wider than a single bed to allow enough fabric for turning from side to side.
However, there is a choice of length with the Satin Top Sheets and carers can choose between models that are 140cm long, which covers the torso, shoulder to hips or 200cm long which is full length and covers most patients from head to toe.
There are also wider options for wider beds and bespoke options should this be required.

At 140cm long, this top sheet will cover most patients from hips to shoulders. It is 200cm wide, meaning it is much wider than a single bed and offers plenty of spare fabric to allow for turning from side to side without running out. Repositioning can be carried out by rolling up the fabric.

with handles
The top sheet is 140cm long and will cover from hips and shoulder to facilitate turning. Handles are discreet and run along the length of the product on both sides. ThaThey can be attached to hoists, gantry and overhead.
Full length
without handles
This top sheet is 200cm long and will cover most patient from head to toe. At 200 cm wide it allows for easy turning from side to side and a single carer can gather the excess fabric to create a handle and turn the person easily.

This top sheet is 200cm long and 200cm wide and will cover a person from head to toe. Handles run along the length of both sides so a hoist can be attached where appropriate to facilitate turning. They can be attached to hoists – mobile, gantry and overhead.

Pillow Cases
Designed for standard UK pillows, people who need in-bed care will love this SIBA satin base pillow case that repositions easily but can be secured in place after. With a duck egg blue, checked poly cotton on the top, users will be cool and comfortable; it is the satin base underneath that allows easy positioning up and down and side to side, meaning that carers can keep people more comfortable during moving. Once repositioned, the position of the pillow can be secured by tucking the cotton flaps under the pillow.
Carers find it easy to use as well: the extended cotton flaps can be used as handles‚ enabling a good grip and control over moving the pillow. Available in one size, we also offer a bespoke size service for those with pillows different to the standard size
