You can store the lightweight, easily transportable leg lifter in your glove box or car door pocket for easy access. When needed, simply drop the lifter under your feet (either together or one at a time) and use the ladder-like handles to adjust the length of the straps in order to raise your foot/feet. This way, you will be able to easily raise your feet into your car footwell or from the footwell to the outside and onto the ground. Repeat the process with the other foot if necessary..

You can use the manual leg lifter independently or with minimal support from a single carer. You might also find you can use the leg lifter in combination with Hospital Direct’s Car Slide Sheet, which helps you to rotate and re-position yourself when getting in and out of your car. ALWAYS remove the car slide before the car moves.
