Hospital Direct’s X-Ray Plate Insertion Tube allows radiographers to easily insert x-ray cassettes with x-ray cassette covers.

Radiographers who have difficulty inserting x-ray cassettes and digital image panels behind/underneath patients now have access to an easy solution. Our X-Ray Plate Insertion Tube allows a radiographer to slot an x-ray plate holder behind a patient with the help of just one member of staff. This proves especially useful in busy environments, like intensive and critical care units.

The X-Ray Plate Insertion Tube is an integral part of the X-Ray Insertion System, which also comprises a Quilted X-Ray Cassette Cover and a pair of Deluxe Extension Straps. Care staff can use the system to prepare a patient for an x-ray without having to log roll or sit the patient forward. This means patients can remain comfortable and practitioners can minimise the risk of straining themselves.

We supply the X-Ray Plate Insertion System in two sizes to fit both cassettes and the newer digital detectors. The tubes are patient-specific so practitioners can dispose of the equipment between procedures and increase patient throughput. However, we also stock washable variations.
