Glide and Lock / Uni Slide

The Ophthalmic Glide and Lock is great in-surgery slide sheet and recovery aid that prevents patients from sliding downwards, whether in bed or a chair.

This full-length (head to toe) eye operation sheet is perfect for health professionals who position patients for eye surgery and need an alternative to traditional slide sheets. Developed in conjunction with an acclaimed eye surgeon, the Ophthalmic Glide and Lock enables two staff members to accurately move a person into the correct position for ophthalmic surgery, such as cataracts.

Practitioners can easily glide a patient further up the trolley and then lock (secure) them in position, ready for surgery. The glide and lock mechanism allows sated movement upwards, but, once in position, the patient will not move. Following surgery, the patient can sit up without the risk of sliding down – ideal for recovery times.

The ophthalmic surgery table sheet promotes patient comfort and dignity while preventing them from sliding forwards or slipping. The sheet also works brilliantly in Recovery – patients will not slide down, even when maintaining sitting positions.

The Ophthalmic Glide and Lock is suitable for washing at 74°C in normal hospital laundry conditions and is suitable for low-heat tumble drying.
