NEW Flat Bridging Board
Our Bridging Boards are made from a lightweight acrylic, which despite their weight offer the reassurance of an impressive 180kg / 28.34 stone safe working load. With comfortable handles they are easy to manoeuvre into place, and then stow away when not in use. When using these boards between surfaces, the heights need to be similar levels and close for the two grippy strips on its reverse to be in contact with both. The strips then help to hold the board in place and reduce the risk of slipping off. Positioning is quick and easy. When in use, the user will find that it feels safe and effortless. Maximum bridging distances for each board type are listed below.

NEW Folding Bridging Board
Our unique folding version is a fantastic concept for transfer boards. When placed on a chair or wheelchair, the shallow groove running the length of the board allows the side to lift slightly. This protects the user from rubbing against the wheelchair wheel whilst in transit, while also reducing any bowing in the board under strain. The user also benefits from the reassurance of being able to feel the back of the board as they slide across. Regardless of whether users are transferring independently, or with assistance, transfer boards can feel precarious. The added feeling of stability this little groove creates is significant.

Transfer boards are most suitable for patients/clients who have strength in their arms to move without assistance. Those who would like some support may find it helpful to use the board with a Transfer Board Slide.
